![]() ![]() ![]() These recent survival games aren't about the unknown or weird shit happening that invites you to understand the world through exploring. The stuff in STALKER would require a bigger budget indeed, which is probably why a STALKER clone hasn't happened to such a successful degree (although Far Cry 2 was close). They use permadeath as artificial tension in my opinion. Most survival games right now are more about managing resources and other F2P-like bar filling mechanics really, compared to having worlds where AIs and systems interact with each other while still being scripted enough that boredom won't set in. ![]() That's the thing, most of these games are inspired by Minecraft and not STALKER. ![]()
